Instant Ocean Sea Salt & Reef Crystals Salt Mix, made where??????

So I was just thinking to myself where is the salt that we use really made?As far as I know, I have looked at the buckets of Instant Ocean Sea Salt & Reef Crystals Salt Mix and Seachem Reef Salt its dose not say where the salt is made, I know that Red Sea Pro (which I find to be more of a natural salt), it is stated on the bucket Made In Israel. Are they any salts that are really made in USA or most come from overseas and just repackaged here in the USA?

Are we just influents by names and labels???

Good point. Just out of curiosity, which salt do you use? I been using tropical marin but looking to switch it up. Any suggestions? Thanks.

All the salts that I have mentioned I have used, but most of the time its Reef Crystals Salt Mix or Red Sea Pro.


I like Red Sea Pro the most so far, but $$ is a factor always.

I've tried every salt for the past 30 years and to the best of my knowledge this is the line up as of 2014
1 ESV but it does not make 200 gallons at 1.026. It makes 150 to 160 gal. 1.026
2 Reef Crystal but also makes 150 to 160 gal at 1.026
3 Coral Pro and I don't remember what it made when I used it

ESV mixes easy, clean, dissolves fast, definitely has no gunk you usually get from other salts.

ESV is what I use now for the past 2 months and I'm very pleased with the results. On the next batch I mix at 1.026 I will post the parameters. Mag Allk phosphates ect
