Attacked by clowns!

I have two Wyoming clowns in my tank, they were the first livestock I put in the tank, they are doing well...but they attack me every time I try to do anything in the tank. Its crazy!! They bite my hands and arm and pull the hair off of my arms. Anyone had similar experiences with clowns?

Not personally but I know some that Nottick had/has clowns that will stalk him every time he goes near the tank.
If his hand goes in they bite him.

That is a territorial clown. If it just started, they may be close to laying eggs!!!

I have a pair of snowflake clowns and the female always does that to me.. Esp when I syphon the sand while doing water changes..

Well i've only had them for a few months, but yes, very territorial. They don't bother the other fish though.

Should I be worried?

The bigger one of my clowns draws blood, took a nice piece off my hand two weeks ago lol. Now I have a nice scar to remind me to keep her at bay with a net when I have to but my hand in the tank.

my clown always try to fight me when i put my hand near their hammer. i push and hit them couple times with turkey baster to show them whos the boss and they will back off while i clean.

I had a black ocellaris clown that I named Willy as in free willy, freaking thing used to get me right between my fingers.

i have regular ocellaris and they nip at my hand anytime my hand is in the tank, unless i have food.

My snowflake does that but I just wear gloves now and it's not a problem anymore

Gloves are a good idea in general....guess I'll be pulling the rubbers back out.

My Fancy Whites will eat out of my hand, then the will leave me alone to do other work in the tank.
But if I put my hand in otherwise, the female with give me little nips.
It doesn't hurt at all, just startles me when I'm not expecting it.
Makes me wonder if she is just nudging me to feed her.
Which is working on her part, because I usually will give in and give her a flake or 2 to leave me alone.
So people have gotten painful bites from clowns?

Yea mine bit me hard a few times usually when im trimming or rescaping corals. To me it's like there telling me to keep my hands out the reef lol

Mine did when about to lay eggs or got near the anemone ... Now that I don't have anemone they calmed down a lot ..

My female maroon Eva, used to bite the hair of my arms all the time.
