Duncan Has black heads that are hard :-(

Hi guys as stated in title my duncan coral has some heads that have turned black and are hard to the touch idk if this is cause by parasites or possibly being stung by my frog spawn/hammer coral. Have you ever heard of this or seen this before???? Its hard to see in the picture but i hope it helps

I can't see what you're talking about. Try a better photo with light on the areas you're referring to.

imagine a head completely closed an then turned black i'll try a better picture they are on the underside and it seems happy so i dont want to continue to move him around.

My guess it that it is dead and what you feel is the skeleton and the color is that of some algae growing on it.

So those heads are dead the rest of the coral looks healthy an happy. Hope it's isolated

Well it looks like all your heads have receded. Did they open back up?

they are not receded. they arent alive anylonger i believe it was caused by being stung by my hammer coral
