One time I worked for like 2 weeks for a mold remediation place (horrible job)

They actually used bleach then dawn dish washing liquid watered down in spray bottles and as far as I could tell that was industry standard . after that tey would paint over any places that got bad with kiltz or killz primer i think it was an acrylic base.

Fwiw, regular household bleach is not recommended. It is too diluted and as kathy pointed out jt doesn't work with porous surfaces. A few mold experts told me that the bleach will seem to wipe away the mold but the water from the bleach simply feeds it and encourages it. Peroxide works better.

I have a friedrich 70 pint dehumidifier with built in pump. I leave it set at 45% (anything lower than that is too dry) from march to November. Mold grows when humidity is above 55 or 60....don't remember exactly but my basement was in the 70's when I first got the dehumidifier.

Good luck with the cleanup.

thank god its cement floors, just the Wood beams that are around it like the stairs and the little walk up area that is housing the washer machine and the Slop sink and the ceder closet.

we just got the Frigidaire 70 Pint Dehumidifier in the mail today, Gab turned it on in the basement. Right now the basement is sitting at 45% with a humidity tester and temp tester in 1.
