Green Hair Algae Combat

Is the algae fix making your skimmer go nuts?
I'm im same boat and curious how you make out

My skimmer doesn't goes nuts but I do notice it skim out a lot of green stuff

Increase your mag to 1600 it will clear up the hair alge

After a long battle with red turf, what finally worked for me was running Rowaphos in my reactor, cutting back on food, using Microbacter7 by Brightwell, and 4 rounds of Chemi Clean. Then I added a few Emerald Crabs and way too many Turbo Snails to finish off the job. It took 2 months but I'm turf free for a year. In the end I gave away the excess Turbos.
It's going to take diligence
