Mike wrasses wont eat them all. They may pick a few off but the nudis come out at night when the wrasses are sleeping. Throw them away or set up a QT.

I just might throw them out.
I got the QT all set up with sps in their for the last three months And their dooing great under the MH ;)

O ya that's right dealt with the flat worm,Red bugs and now Nutis:fishhit:
So the tank looks like dog Sh?^ anyway.

I like the 30gal so much it has turned into a mini DT.
I also now cut all the bases off of new stuff and dip with Bayer.
I feel it's the eggs that got threw in my 120DT from the old way I use to dip and put in.
These nutibranch you can just about blow off the coral with your breath so if you cut the bases off preventing eggs to get in the systum the dip should Handel what's on the coral.
I mean it's my understanding eggs from red bugs, flatworms and nutis are not laid on the coral themselves right? But on the base, frag plug or dead coral spots.

At this point I'm contemplating braking down the 120 and setting up a new system altogether ?

The nudis are easy to get, it's the eggs you have to look for. They hatch in a week and thats when you get tons of damage. Take the monti colonies out of the tank and look on the underside of them. The nudis dont like light and they lay their eggs on the underside or the side with the least light. You will need either great eyesight or a magnifying glass. But they lay clumps of eggs. Use a toothbrush to clean the colony off and a bayer dip (strong at about 70ml per gallon of tank water).

It takes patience with those things but it is possible to eradicate them. You have to keep checking the montiporas every week to see if you still have them. They hide in the cracks and crevices of the colonies and you will only see like little legs popping out.

Either this or no montiporas for about 4-6 months.

+1, same here, they love to come out at blue light (LED) when my wrasses sleep. They r smart, I catch few using feeding pipette , then try to dip, release eggs right the way .

Considering pratt had berghia nudi's survive in his tank which is full of wrasses, I have no expectations of wrasses irradiating your problem. I suggest what was already mentioned that you should setup a QT tank with your monti's and starve the nudi's out. Unfortunately, any unhatched eggs can probably take 3 weeks or so to hatch so it would need to be QT'ed longer then that.
