I believe it. But at least that's a fixable problem (more heaters?) I don't know what kind of lights you run but with my T5 my heaters don't turn on unless the window is wide open and it's a polar vortex. LOL

I think we can figure this out Duke. That window near your tank is the key. How close is it anyway, exactly? Any chance you can scribble together a little sketch?

Leaving the window half open with a fan blowing out might be enough to do it...remember the low pH is caused by too MUCH CO2...exhaust is the key...

My basement window in the tank room only opens from the top like 4 inch. And I have 2 windows a foot from my DT. I can not open them it will be way to cold and suck my home oil dry LOL. I have left the basement window open before and it did little to the PH. Only thing that works is many open windows scattered through the house

I don't know enough of the chemistry involved to say why the 92 didn't have a problem but the new tank has this issue.
Maybe another option is to attack the source of the CO2? If its coming from the boiler room, then is it possible to seal and vent the boiler room?

Did that already. A room was built to separate the boiler from the fish room. It was sealed with caulk. Now its not 100 percent air tight but it is separated now.

Ok stop dosing vodka that lowers your ph and you need to get fresh air down there
But if you can't do that then stop worrying about ph
It's very simple I have to same windows and mine came out with out a problem

Jaftica stay off my threads please I dont need your help or comments in any of my threads. Jerl it would be great to do that but I cant. First my wife wont let me have a plywood window showing from outside I would have to replace the whole window. I thought of it already and only way I can put in a fan is to replace the window or bore a hole into the side and make it look neat and professional.

If you take out the entire window, there are ventilation units or frames that will fit flush into the window frame. It will cost, but will look neat and professional. Some vents will allow for one-way or bi-directional air flow.
I'm learning from the other advise here as well...I'm curious about looking at this from a different perspective. That is, not that there is an abundance of CO2 but rather an absence of O2 with boiler sucking it all.
If you can't make adjustments next to the tank window, then how about the boiler room? Is it possible to seal and vent it?
Do you run your boiler year round? Like for hot-water in the summer months? If not, then this could be something you just have to live with during winter months.
Is your boiler chimney clean?

I cant do it. I know my wife and it cant be done. I thought about the exhaust fan from the first day I was planning the tank. I was hoping my skimmer line was going to be enough to sustain the PH but its not. Thats why I was hoping for a hidden secret to bring the ph up. I tested my PH with charlies probe. When I left my PH was 7.93 and with his probe it was 8.0
