No, If I remember he's in Wisconsin. Kind of an interesting guy. I dont think he has any college or formal training, but was a tinkerer. He started a very successful company refurbishing medical equipment (I think).
Built the tank, and as you see in the video, built his own equipment like skimmers etc, which he now sells commercially. Look him up on line and find his build thread, its years long and really interesting.
