What's up MR

I have a float switch installed on my top off container and I can't seem to get it to turn off my RODI unit, or to not leak when under pressure. I have a BRS 5 stage unit. The float switch is leaking from the compression fitting that connects to the 1/4" tubing. The ferrel looks good and everything is snug. Any ideas on how to solve the problem?

assuming your r/o has an auto shut off valve, it won't shut off if float valve is leaking.
i think their is a ferrel in that fitting that slides over the tubing.

Thanks Edd I tightened the compression fitting on the end of the float switch and it seems to have stopped the leak. The pressure it took seems excessive to me for plastic fittings. I have to say that overall I am satisfied with my 5 stage BRS RODI unit. However I do not like how much pressure builds up in the system before the shut off valve engages. The system fills up with pressure until the di stage fills up and then it finally shuts off. I had to take out the special wrench and tighten the di canister very tightly so it does not leak. I originally wanted to fully automate my top off, but after seeing how this works I don't trust leaving the unit on unattended it seems way too easy to spring a leak.

yea i wouldn't trust it either, plus not a good idea cause ro cycles too frequently feeding water thats been laying in filter canisters. i use a 20 g tank for ato.
