Hi guys,

So I recently found out currentusa made a reef led. It comes with the whole 9 yards. Built in timer, wireless remote, weather patterns. Fully dimmable. Although people had concerns it wasnt enough to grow corals. I have the 18 inch fixture which puts out 18 watts. I have it on a biocube 14. Well ive had the LED for about a week now and I must say it is awesome! Corals look great. Although a week isn't enough to see hrowth I can tell my corals are happier, hungrier and look overall 100x better. I paid 100$ for the 18inch brand new so its a good cheap LED. You cant go wrong with it. Justthought I'd post up on it since there isnt much information on it. I think it came out in November or December.

I agree spoke with the rep they said if u have to put 2 48in on a tank still cheapet then buying 1 radion and so much easier to control I like it no problems at all and super slim

So I couldn't find any info but ill assume when it comes to corals they mean its able to sustain lps & softies?.. I like the features of this light. I was thinking if It were to be used in addition to t5 lighting it maybe a viable option? For housing sps that is.

those are not really strong enough to keep corals. they are 1w leds at that

18 watts on an 18" fixture??? This should be a crime to call this reef capable... Your corals arent happier they are stretching for more light.

I picked up one of these for a 5 galling fluval spec. I think for this size tank it is ok. I plan to just keep zoas. The tank isn't set up yet but once I do I'll see how it performs.

Had the light for awhile now and still all my corals are doing awesome. All corals are fully open and expanded. I have a tank full of lps including gonioporas and they are great.

how about an update 6 month later is the light still good for your lps do you notice any growth i just put the same light today on my solana 34 and i was thinking shout i also turn on the MH with this light

My father inlaw has 1 on his tank. Works well for what he's keeping shrooms , leathers, and a nem . I wouldn't keep anything more then that under it.

Still working good. Just not in my hands anymore. I upgraded to a 30 breeder tank so I gave the biocube and the light to my friend and its growing softies, lps and a anemone. No problems for him

they are actually .25 watt led they will work on very shallow tanks like frag tanks but over 6" down par drops to double digits after 18" single digits
