Yesterday my Peppermint shrimp got caught up in my koralia - died shortly after...

Tonight my male Picasso clown, that I purchased from Pop Corals about a month ago, jumped out and I found him dried up on my floor

They say bad things happen in 3's - lets hope not!

So my clowns were paired up, is it possible to replace this guy and have them get along? Any experiences like this?

First off very sorry to hear this. Yes you can get another smaller clown and they 'should' pair up. Is it possible to put a top on your tank? They are easy to build I can help if you need.

Thanks cmantis - I guess you gotta take the good with the bad...

Well - at the moment I have a temporary top - small piece of acrylic - I intend on making a more permanent fixture in the future.

How did/do you make your top?

I get the window screen material from HD. Its aluminum pieces that are cut to size then a pack of four corners. I put either deer/bird netting or clear netting in and use window screen spline to hold it in place. I can link you to my thread where I have instructions its pretty easy. I have everything but the aluminum to make one.

Purchased a small Snowflake clown yesterday hoping it would pair with the bigger female Picasso I have.. Last night the female was aggressive, but I thought it looked similar to what I had seen before - came home today to find the Snowflake snuffed out... damn!

One is ocellaris and the other percula which is harder to pair (mine are still fighting). That really sucks though was it 'snuffed out' in the tank? Usually they just nip at the fins pretty bad.
