I went away this wknd and my tank was 90+ degrees!!!! i lost all my sps and lps but my zoas seem to be still hanging on... but they have this white/clear film over them... I was wondering should i dip them or just let them be... Ive spent alot of money on zoas so i really want to save them, none are open but the polyps are still there... what should i do, the temp is back to normal but i dont want to just watch them die please help!!!

Water change and carbon ... Also if you can try to lower down the temp with a fan hitting the water

Damn sorry to hear. This is when a controller can help by sending out an email if the temps go out of range. But only helpful if you or someone else can get in to deal with it. I think the suggestions thus far are good. Water change and dropper to clear off some of that film.

poor mans chiller. freeze some ro/di water the same amount you would use for your top off. place this in the first chamber to slowly drop temp. return should not be directed at anything. this slow melt will drop temp and top off. be sure to continually check the temp and remove if the temp drops more than 5 degrees in the display at a time.
also run your ac and chill the room.
