Restarting Mag drives

Anyone has problems restarting their Mag Drive? I always have trouble with it.

Whens the last time you cleaned it out, i.e. ran it in some vinegar to get off calcium build up on the impellar?

that might be ur problem.... i have cleaned mine out 3 times in the last 6 months and havent found a calcium build up problem on it.. also on my mag 9.5, everytime i shut it off and plug it back in it always kicks back on without hesitation... how old is ur pump?

I bought the pump used with my skimmer. I checked the pump and it's clean. I'm going to buy a new impeller. Lets see how that goes.

nycmat, did you find a way to restart it? I usually have to hit the back of the pump to move the impeller forward.

I'll let you in on the secret. When you plug it in and it doesnt start up make sure its submerged in water and turn the pump upside down. Should start right up
