Vortech mp40 problem

My MP40 whole complete wet side is spinning. I took it apart. Cleaned it but it's still doing it. Does anyone out there know what the problem is? I'm thinking I have to replace the whole wet side.

Sounds like the magnet may be warped or there isn't enough space between the the inside and outside magnet

How old is the mp40? Ecotech is normally very good when it comes to customer service/assistance. They are located in PA and in my experience turn around time is fairly quick.

There is a thin spacer goes between the magnet and the backing of the wetside. Could be missing or damaged?

Does the prop turn if you hold the magnet? Sometimes it will melt to the shaft.

No everything is where it needs to be. I've been running the mp40 for over a year now with no problems. I put the wet side on my other mp40 and it's doing the same thing.

remove the cage and prop. sounds like something is stuck or something came apart and jammed it. your saying the prop is stuck to housing?

yea. the wetside spins on the other mp40 also

Is the prop stuck on the shaft? It should turn even if you hold the shaft. It's meant to slip incase something jams.

Same thing happen to one of my pumps. Had to replace the wet side.

How u find the problem ?! Did u try to clean before ?! Did u leave on vinegar , for long time ?

I took it apart cleaned it, still was spinning. Took apart again and notice a piece of plastic broken. Really inspect it when taking it apart.
