Hi all,

I know the general guidelines on fish/gallon. Are there guidelines for invertebrates, corals, anemones etc? I have had a harder time tracking down this information.

I'm most interested in stocking guidelines on anemones. I would like to have a clownfish and potentially anemone only tank.

Thanks!

If the 'guideline' is 1" of fish per gallon ... Forget that! A 4" gobie is not the same as a 4" tang...

How big a tank are you talking about ?

Sorry for the lack of info.

I have a 40g tank and a 29g biocube.

I want to create an anemone tank for a pair of maroon clownfish in the biocube. VERY long story short, I was given some anemones that needed a home. They are on the smaller side- (columns when inflated are no more than 2" in diameter" approximately)

I am concerned about the bioload because I don't know how anemones effect it and I want to make sure I am providing a good home until I can upgrade to a larger tank.

For the time being, I have put 6 of the anemones in my 40g and 6 in the biocube. Both tanks have been up and running (the 40g for 2 years approx, and the biocube I bought from a friend a couple of months ago. He had it up and running for more than a year and it was broken down for a day or two until I set it up).

pH- 8.2
NO3-10-20
NO2-0
Ammonia-0

The lighting in the biocube is power compact & the lighting in the 40g are LED

Anemone's need very good water quality. Some anemones need super high lighting and some just need very bright lighting what kind of anemones are they?
