hello since the weather has us all stuck at home today its time to start projects around the tank i been thinking of setting up a separate tank as a refugium but didnt really have time till today does anyone have any ideas or has anyone already setup a similar project that they can give me ideas on how to do it right as of now i have a 30gallon sump with a external awaki pump and an in sump skimmer dont really want to breakdown my tank to lift from stand to install a new sump/refugium thats why i decided to just ad a sep tank since its a 155 gallon tank 200 pounds of rock and 120 pounds of life sand plus fishes thats too much work lol

Yes,

Currently it could be clogged like any tank without an overflow box.

But it can be prevented a few ways...

Add a 90 degree to the inside of the bulkhead and t it off into two inner drains with strainers

Or

Make something out of Eggcrate and some mesh. (Which I can give you if need be.

I would keep low flow and do some prevention.
