Loud Noises

It never stops! I live on the fourth story of an apt. building. I was notified that they are REMOVING my living room windows with my A/C that cools my room with tank. I told them NO, not happening without I going to court. My question is that my tank is directly in front of my two living room windows (HUGE MISTAKE, I KNOW) and when they start drilling the bricks out, its loud. With my tank in front of the windows and the guys working directly outside the windows, will the constant loud noises kill the fish. I understand it will cause stress, but could it kill. I plan on leaving the lights off while the construction is being done. Its a 120 and i'm not breaking it down without a court order. Thanks

Stress kills anything!!! Aneurism can be caused by stress !!!!

It's possible but I would be more worried about the debris.

I will be there to monitor the work and the tank. Nothing will enter the tank in any form. I'm only concerned about the drilling and other noises created by the windows. I have screens in case any fish get spooked and jump. I'm just hoping they hide in the rocks like they do at night.

They Will hide and I think they will be fine to be honest with ya , I used to install windows and it's not too bad, just make sure nothing gets in!!!!!!

They will be scared from the vibration, but if they're healthy, they should be fine. Just make sure the dust from the construction doesn't get into the tank (if you attempt to seal the tank, make sure it doesn't get too hot)

i highly disagree with the previous replies... it is very unlikely in my opinion that too much noise will kill fish

that's why i asked, to get opinions. My conclusion is i'll be alright with the sound problem. Now if they want to remove my window A/C in the middle of the summer they better set a court date...cause it's not happening without a judge looking me in the eye and ordering it to be removed. Silly landlords...

The work is being performed now and my fish DO NOT care at all with lights on. It's very noisy and with vibrations. Turns out they didn't have to remove any window A/C units after all...
