Not that you stand a chance against the Halides but isn't adding MORE light to the tank in the middle of the contest unfair? Whats to stop Jer or James from adding another Halide reflector or more bulbs to the T5 setup? You guys started the contest with what you had it should stay that way till it's over.

As far as coverage I'm wondering why you had issues. This is from the Acan thread:

We have two 92 Gallons in our office (dimensions 46"L x 34"W x 24"H)
We are using a 24" 800 Series on one and a 24" 600 Series on the other with amazing growth.
http://www.acanlighting.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=152

The 600 Series retails for $495 per foot and the 800 Series retails for $645 per foot.

I feel the 600 series will work for your tank and will have no problem growing SPS.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

That's what I said but I am thinking he got scared and need to add more light I don't care if he adds 8 more light fixtures still not going to get color out of them

HAHAHA if james was to add more halides his corals would bleach the hell out. doesnt matter how many LEDs i added the corals that im using were directly underneath the ACANS they were getting the most light in my tank. i added the lights to cover dead spots in my tank.

Yes you did but you also added to the total PAR for the tank unless you added spotlights to light the "Dead Spots" which you didn't.

The LED you added although not an expensive unit throws some light, I've seen them in person.

You said YOUR LED setup would beat Halides or T5's. You've now gone and changed your lighting setup. What am I missing

the health of ALL my other corals are more important to me then this FRIENDLY contest. plus im probably getting less par over these coral now because the spotlight on the acan is no longer right over the frags. this is not a UNIT challenge its not ACAN vs ATI vs RADIUM challenge. read the title :) if the other guys want to add more bulbs a bigger skimmer its fine by me
