I am so upset .came home this morning and see a red light on my VorTech so I took it down and put it back and still no luck..I switch parts with the next one and same result...So today I will test VorTech customer Services and see what they say or do..these pump is only 4 days old...

I never had a problem with my Tunze....as the saying goes "you don't know what you have till it's gone..."

sorry to hear that Melt. Hopefully it's something that does not require sending the pump back. Ice Cap has some of the best customer service in the industry so I would not worry about it. If something is wrong with the pump I'm sure they'll have it fixed immediately.

This happened to me once after a maintenance staff guy plugged a floor polisher into an outlet in my office and caused all kinds of surges... my Tunzes stopped too:) All I did was unplug and replug the power source from the driver and it started right back up.... just like Jim's experience. It has never happened again. Randy

Eco no offense LOL But why are companies not having 800 numbers for customer service? Why? I know you guys have great CS but that is a way to improve that much more and keep beating the heck out of the competition.

Guy's and girls, I'm beginning to stress selling my tunze pumps. Sometimes reef geeks like me don't wait on seeing some of these products being tested properly. One thing I can not stand is an unreliable product. I would pay the extra money to gain the reliability of a product, and with tunze, you gain just that..these bugs are starting to scare me... are you guys that are experiencing these problems using some type of wave controller or are you using without. if using wave controller what type is it. and what settings are you setting it to..oh and by the way, there someone on RC selling one he just got on Friday...........

I wasn't reefing when Tunze Streams were 1st introduced, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong. But I'm guessing , even the great Tunze had some bugs

once they were put into production. Being one of the 1st to own a product not only comes with the benefits of bragging rights, but with the associated bugs.

edit: Tunze has years of experience under its belt now, more reason to believe they can produce flawless Streams.

I understand totally what your saying dean, but vortech is coming out with a fairly new product, pricing them just as expensive as the number one product in the market if not more expensive and are having some type of issues. I'm'm not trying to bash them because i'm sure they will fix the problem, but I don't want it to be at my expense. sps dominant tanks depend on high flow and i'm away from home sometimes two days at a time so i'm just trying to get to the bottom of it before they come in.....

Being a guinea pig is no fun:). I try not to buy brand new equipment because the best engineered product can still have issues once a normal Joe puts their hands on it.

I always have a back up plan for all of my equipment.. Never know when a piece of vital equipment is going to fail.
