Does anyone know how long this show is running?

We are having a baby in a week or so, and won't have the time to see it in the very near future.

That's funny, I went and saw it about a month or two ago and I thought it was absolute bollocks!
some of the cheesiest, pseudo new age, metallica album cover art i have seen in a long time.
But that's just my opinion.

what actually is a bollock? is it what hurts if you get kicked in them?

thats funny aaron....it made me realize how ego, and consumer driven our lives our and that real life has nothing to do with whats going on in the world of highrises and war between nations.
I came away knowing that at some point i want to leave ny and go teach reading, plant crops or give injections in some third world country and feel i did something with my time.
but thats just my opinion.

I think I have this discussion a couple times a month, what art is, how you define it, what makes an artist collectable over another.
After 20 years or so of basically having the same conversation with people all I can say is that art is extremely subjective.
As you should not censure art, you should not censure peoples reactions to it. Everyone likes different things, and not all art will please every one. This is the perfect example. two people having the opposite reactions to colberts show.
As long as you don't attack someone for their views it should be okay to give your opinion. That said if you ever see my work and think it blows monkey chunks (american version of absolute bollocks) then please be kind and keep it to yourself

Yes the bollocks are something you dont want to get kicked in.
However i might add that this is quite a versatile term, example:Harsaphes thought the exhibition was the dogs bollocks

And you have to admit that the shot of the eagle flying down the empty staircase could so easily be the cover of a metallica album? - which is not necessarily a bad thing

Not really, i think they all had some kind of emotional breakdown, and in the spirit of the reality television generation, they made a documentry about it.

Dont get me wrong Harsphes, i thought there were aspects of the ashes and snow show that were pretty interesting - the construction of the building was pretty interesting, though when we went two months ago it was so cold in there it was enough to snap your brain. My biggest problem was with the whole new age air that surrounded the installation, it just seemed a little corny, that and the extortionate entry price, especially when christo had his installation on at the same time for free.

speaking of metallic i just turned the tv onto VH1 and the movie is on right now......
freaky!
