A sea hare is fine if you have been overgrown. After it cleans that tank it will die without more... If you are only trying to have a little control then go with the crabs, if you have to clean up from a mess then sea hare.

But he is also right, get your phosphates in check. Are you having a problem at this time?

Emerald craps are great little buggers they eat many forms of algea and are little work horses. As E.inthec says check your paramaters get them straight and the other crabs and snails you should already have for your clean up crew you will always grow algea just need to keep it in control.

+1 on checking the problem. Is ur tank by a window? it may be getting too much light or ur lighting schedule may be too long. but i love emerald crabs cus they do work hard and eat many forms of algae. Invest in a phosban reactor from Two little fishies.
