How long has the tank been setup? What is the calcium and alkalinity (and pH if you have it)? What's the phosphate concentration?

Generally speaking, with coralline algae growth it is a question of proper water quality and time. Given good water, eventually it will take off. If it doesn't take off after a long while, there is likely something off about the water quality ;)

I dont like it either on the glass. Coraline is good, but I hate it. I am getting all little circles on the back of my tank, but it is plastic so I cant scrape it off.

My new tank, I will be keeping all glass clear of Coraline.

I've tried everything to get my Quality up to par,Running GFO,pellets and weekly water changes.Contemplating on giving up altogether.I have zero hair algae at the least.I've read the right amount of blue is also required for optimal growth.

When i had my halide, coraline only grew in the shaded part of the tank. Coraline would not grow where the high intesity light would hit, but now i have leds and they're growing everywhere. Not sure if the halide were burning the coraline.

Contemplating on giving up altogether.

Are you serious????? You would leave the hobby because you're not growing coraline on your glass?
That is nuts Nelson!!! I say that with tons of love!;)

Seriously though, who cares about coraline? As long as your tank & animals are healthy, and thriving it is all good!:)

I do have coraline on the back glass & overflows, but it does nothing for me. It is just not important to me.;)

Besides, you would not be happy with coraline growing on your front glass now would you?lol
