Skimmer and return

Back at setting up my 120. Its drilled with dual 1 1/2" drains, and a 3/4" return. What external protein skimmer do you guys reccomend? And also what return pump should i use?

Personally, I like the vertex cone skimmers or the eshopps cone skimmers, as fat as return pump goes do you want in sump or an external pump?

I was just looking into those skimmers now. Asnfar as my return id like it in sump. I was thinking eheims. But what size?

I've mostly used the eheim pumps as an upgrade to the pump that are attached to their 2260 canister filters. They're pretty good and quite in that regard but you sometimes might need to change the impeller shaft. Other pumps you can look into with a higher flow are the Rio pumps in the HF series. The one I bought 10 years ago is still running strong in my african tank and has a 1200gph return force at 8 feet. They're somewhat expensive though.
