What do you do with the koi in the winter? Also I know its been a few years however do you know where did you have the construction of the pond done?

If a pond is built correct koi stay in the pond all winter
As long as the water doesn't freez on bottom and you keep a hole in top for gas to escape you are good to go
They won't be happy bug alive
They also sell bucket or drop in heaters to keep water a little warmer

My 18 koi made the winter no problem. This was a brutal winter too.
