umm i think you will have a bunch of problems in a 155. when they grow they will be to big for that tank. second the pair of yellow will fight as you need 3 to school and have less problems same with the purple

2 purples will be rough and there is no truth in having an odd number of Yellow tangs. One of the purples will start to grow extremely faster than the other and most likely try to kill the smaller purple off. A Powder blue should be ok, but I would start with all the fish small. And just FYI my yellow tang is king of the tank over my purple and Bariene tang.

can you have 5 tangs in a 155 gallon aquarium...

well i think i should be ok because i know people who has 5 tangs in there tank and there full grown and its a 150 gallon tank and there ok together and they didnt upgrade and each of the fish was about 8 to 8 1/2 inches

well in a 155 bow front aquarium how many inches of fish can i have i was saying 2 inches per gallon
So, what did you ask for?
And forget that inches per gallon BS....means nothing!

5 tangs is to much for a 155 and plus the powder blue is very sensitive it will never make it being that there are already bully tangs in there they will harass the powder blue to death and you better have a really good filter with alot more water volume and a great skimmer tangs are great shiters
