Sohal is starving

I bought a Sohal tang at the swap and every time I feed the tank he just swims by? I cant believe this tang is like a wimp when its feeding time. I feed myisis and tryed a few algea clips. I will try again today and see if I can get some live food.

I had the same problem but give it time and you will see that he will eat everything. Try pellets b/c mine loved that and nori

You could try soaking Nori in garlic.

A clip may be too foreign, try the ruBber band and rock approach.

try reef nutritiion it has worked for me when my tangs were fist introduced and not feeding.

It's need algae in its diet. Try feeding if Spirulina Flakes, which is really something you should be feeding all you tangs and angels.

Also this is a very small Sohal, they don't get very aggressive until they get larger, about 10"+ or so.

he looked strong when I first got him, now he's looking a little skinnier and you can tell he needs to eat

also if he doesnt go for the nori sheets might try some different flakes or branch romain lettuce

Just make sure he is not sick, do not want you to have your other fish infected. Maybe is a good time to take that fish out, and QT him until he is strong and eating, just my thoughts.

l also tried flakes like Rick said but its high in po4 so only do it till he eats

I think he's looking for something familiar to eat. So hit the local chinese/korean supermarket (where there are tons of here in Queens) and buy a pack of every type of seaweed available and let him pick the one he likes. In my Elmhurst chinese supermarket, there are at least 4-6 types of seaweeds from 3 different countries, namely Japan, China and Korea. That's alot of varity.
Plus, why don't you hit the local marina and pull some out of the ocean? Hopefully he's still in quarantee.

Sorry for your loss.
Seeing that he did last for a couple of months, he must have been eating something but perhaps not getting any nutrition from it possibly due to an internal parasite?
