I would use the Prazi-Pro as it will kill the tapeworms and you won't have to worry about your other fish having the same issue.
Keep in mind, they are an issue for the fish as they are 'eating' what he eats.

If you have feather dusters in your tank - you might want to remove the fish to treat...they will likely die from the treatment.

it looks like a parasite - many fish that are wild caught get/have them.

im sure he was wild caught, have not seen too many tank raised clown trigs. good to know though...


i just picked up yesterday the prazi-pro. the one by aquarium solutions right? i got that one. kind of confused on directions though... it says as a bath... as in the main tank, a quarintine tank, or actually get him caught in a bucket and dose like a dip? and once i start to use it should i be looking for anything inparticular? like should he be pooping any more out or anything special? will i know it worked by never seeing the worms again or something?

thanks again everyone too for the info and care. he is still doing very well. no stress shown at all, and still eats like a champ...yet now i know why:irked:. this also explains in my previous thread i posted about about my trigger being so crazy fat randomly. i love my trig and im going to make sure i do everything i can to make him healthy, he is my buddy!:hug:

still looking for some tips on how i know if its working...

i treated the tank about 2 days ago now. sucks cause i still cannot turn my skimmer on which i dont like seeing my tank runs mainly off the skimmer.

uhhhh....is tape worm easy to spread to other fish? cause i think it did....:irked: my miniatus grouper is ultra fat like my trigger was. and so far the prazi-pro stuff is doing nothing so far except maing my skimmer go crazy. its been turned off now for almost two weeks...
