my clown trigger i realized today is getting fat, really fat. today i looked at him and he is even bigger. i though to my self i have never seen him poop before, which i though could be parisites or something. is there anything out there that could help "releave" him. or, what else could cause him to be getting so fat. like i said within the past WEEK i noticed maybe a 3x girth on him and its scaring me now... he eats like a PIG. no joke i could feed him every hour and he would probably eat. i dont feed every hour, but i do feed alot, but in little portions. maybe 3-4 times i day i drop in either a few large kill peices, or cut up a raw shrimp from the A&P and feed that in portions. but he will eat anything. mysis, brine, krill, silversides, prawn, raw shrimp, clams, pretty much everyone of my shimps/hermit crabs, everything...but never poops? my other tank i see my clowns, damsels, everyone once a week at least poop. whats up?

ill try to get a picture right now of him showing how fat he is...might take some time, he is quick as a enzo.

My fish look bloated. It could be that the food is too solid and it has to process. He still looks like a juvenile so let his digestive system develop.

To add to that, he can be intaking a lot of food because it's a growing fish. Chill out on feeding and let it go down a little bit.

I have a tank full of triggers, the clowns eat very good and will eat till there stomachs get huge. My two queen triggers are vicious eaters along with my blueline, huma and clown, I have to throw food on both sides of the tank so they can all eat without one getting to much. Just give him enough food but not huge chunks that you mentioned. If you see his stomach is still sticking out just hold off until it goes down. Nice Clown btw....

You should put some glass shrimp in there to make him work harder at getting his food, I do this on the weekends to make my triggers hunt.

ALright ill slow the feeding down. is it true that triggers can at times go to the top of the tank and suck in air at times? I read on a site about that and there gut sticks out when it does. I never heard of that but just checking

I dont know about all that, but my triggers at times go to the top if they see anything moving and bite at bubbles making a suction sound. The Huma actually blows water out when I come to the top during feeding times. Its like he tries to squirt water at me.
