flame angles and ich

ive heard from a couple of people that flame angles are prone to ich is there any truth to this and i just got one yesterday and he is rubbing his one side on rocks wearing his scales down i look and there is no sign of ich on him. my tank is running perfect and all my other fish are fine any suggestions?

They're not ich magnets but they can and do get ich. First, you should never place a fish directly into your main tank, always quarantine the fish first. The best thing you can do now is to remove the fish and place it in a quarantine tank for about 2 - 4 weeks and see if it does have ich. If it does then you need to treat it.

the thing that sucks is i dont have a quarantine tank or room for one just yet its not ich tho that was just a question about flames and getting ich im not sure what it is just looks like rub marks and thats what it is doing rubbing on one side

when i try to get a pic he turns and takes off hes not that confy in the tank yet as soon as i can i will post the store not sure were he came from i got him from a buddy
