Can a fish die b/c of just eating brine shrimp and nothing else? I have 3 wrasses and they all died after around 5 weeks. I got them in a different period of time and they all lived alone. Their bodies were very thin when they died. They just ate brine shrimp and nothing else.

the answer is; yes. fish need a diverse food selection....brine shrimp isn't that healthy to begin with, unless its soaked in vitamins and even still. they ate it cause thats all there was to eat, not that its what they needed nutrition wise.

They're not going accept it immediately, they have to be trained onto other foods. For instance my dwarf angels have been in my tank for about a month and a half, and it was only two weeks ago they started to eat what I was putting out for all my fish. Before that they only ate off the algae on the rocks. With food fish are like ppl, they don't like what they aren't used to till they try it. They ate the brine cause it was what they knew, even if it wasn't the best choice.
