when i first jumped into this hobby i bought a sick clown in my tank too. I think it had ich or brooklynella. Clown dies a day later and i fish out my sixline and coral beauty.

I then set up a 10 gallon quarantine tank and did hypo salinity. I forgot the exact numbers but i think i gradually dropped the salinity to 1.010 in a span of 5 days. Then i left it there for 2-3 months, keeping the display tank fish-less at the same time (ich will starve without any fish to host on). Gradually increase salinity back to 1.025 and it was good to go. However the only survivor was the six-line.

i do nothing, my fish are healthy so they get over it. if u adjust the feeding (give them the super healthy stuff soaked in the the vitamins and what not) ull see them heal quick.

i find qt fish stresses the fish out even more.i tried it when i fist started and i lost more fish then just putting them in my dt after a 45 min drip acclimation.ive had my trigger go into my dt 2 years ago and within 2 days he was loaded with ich then other had it.loaded the food with garlic and they all lived through it.still have all the fish from that.
