I always loved large Angelfish but i was worried about them going after corals, well since my tank suffered a mini-crash where i lost 80% of my sps , i thought now would be my chance to have some large angels:

nice angels.
is that a queen or blue?

thanks. neither......it is a Townsend, from what i been told it is a hybrid of a blue and queen.

i also have a smaller Regal that is healing after my Desjardin tang beat the crap out of him, hopefully he will heal up and join the pack

VERY nice Frank! Best of luck with them...and more pics please :)

thanks Kathy....i wish i had more to share as i am rebuilding my sps slowly as i am still not sure as to why i lost so many corals. now i remember why so many ppl love lps as they were not affected by my high orp and alk.

Frank,
Now you need to replace those 160w Cree units with a Coralife PC fixture :D

Love those angels :)

my chiller has yet to turn on this summer and as a matter of fact i am still running my heaters so no more florescents or halides for me. my ConEd bill is down $60 a month........:splitspin

i just turned down the power of the Crees to 70% for now till i stabilize my orp

I just luv angels also.
My Blue Line just died today (this is the 2nd one I've attempted), he did not eat since I purchased him back on 4/27/10. Goes to show you how hardy they are in one aspect and how some will never acclimate to captivity. Cyn poisoning can be ruled out since it took almost 3 months for him to waste away.
If your looking for corals to stock with your angels, I've had good results with Hammers, Torches & Frogspawns. There's also 2 small BTAs that they have left alone but with a Townsend/Queen/Blue, all bets are off.

sorry to hear about the Blueline Pecan....i would not have ever suspected cyan poisoning from Caribbean species fish. My townsend came from another reefers tank......he decided to get a Passer and thought they can co-exist. i seen a show size Queen, around 12" if interested.

as for corals, they have not touched any chalices, zoos, palys, sps or my clam.....yet, i know they love fleshy lps i will eventually go back to sps.
