I was cleaning the tank and a fish is hidden in the spray bar. I lure him out so that I can connect a powerhead to blow the dirt at the bottom of the tank. I found a clutch of sponge(so I thought) and use my finger to scrap it out. I feel a little odd as the texture does not feel so much like sponge. A fire shrimp come immediately to grab the clutch and swimming away eating it. :irked: I noticed it must not be sponge! I then relate the event that the fish is hidden in the PVC spray bar while this spongy thing is something the shrimp like to eat. It must be eggs of the hidden fish! I mange to wrestle it back from the shrimp only to find an onyx is biting a small loosen chunk of the clutch. I manage to save the clutch as in the attached pic.
Bad news is that I do not have any roti ready so I guess this batch will be lost.
Good news is that I now knwo the two are mated and will get them to a seperate condo decorated with many PVC pipe for next spwan. :tongue1:
