I really am getting hooked on wrasses and wanted to get more
he has been in the tank about 5 months
recently i tried to add two wrasses lubbocks and orange back but he constantly picks on them I havent seen them for a couple of days not sure if they are hiding or got killed:(
tank is covered with my diy cover
is there any way to add more wrasses or did i have to add them all at once?
do i need to catch this guy and isolate him?

I have had mixed results with adding additional wrasses after one has been in place. Sometimes they get along, other times same scenario, and most of the time the missing wrasses are dead. I'm trying to catch my Radiant wrasse now, and the slick bastard knows when to hide on me.

There is no reason you can't have more than one wrasse in a system-especially a 210g. one, you just need to choose the species correctly. The C. cyanapleura you have is one of the more aggressive members of the fairy wrasse family ( not a particularly aggressive group BTW) and it doesn't totally surprise me that it is going after other fairy wrasses that were introduced after it. If you want to keep additional Fairies, I would net him out as suggested and then add all the other species together at the same time and then reintroduce the cyanapleura. It is really quite common for people to keep multiple species of Fairy wrasse together without issue. I'd also bet that the 2 missing wrasses are fine and in hiding if it has only been a couple of days.

There are also tons of wrasse from other genera that should pose no problem and the likelihood that your current charge will ignore members of the Halichoeres, Marcopharyngodon (leopard wrasses) and other reef safe groups is very high.

You tryin something new? turning male into females? :flower:

My Pink Margin beat the crap out of my male flame the first day I put the male in, it may have killed the male of the first pair I bought.

Of the Pink Margins, one is definitely a dominant large male and the other two are probably sub-male and a female but they are okay with each other and the male flames.
The two male flames is a wierd story. Originally had a pair, then the female died. After a few months, I found a female from a pair in which their male died so I bought the female. No aggression but after 3 months the female changed into a male
They pretty much get along even though Bob Fenner told me that they should be killing each other :lol2:
What I can't keep alive for very long are Aussie or Cook Island Scott's. I have a small Fiji Scott's that is also in the 40g that has been okay for the past 3 months.
