So just to clarify.. all of the stuff I researched on the net..

True Percula = normally has the thicker black outline.

False Percula = Occelaris, and may not have as thick black lines?

*Was going through Will's fish list just now.. and I see

True Percula Clown Md $20.00
True Percula Clown Lg $25.00

Percula Clown (Indo) Sm $8.00
Percula Clown (Indo) Md $10.00

T/R Occelaris 1.5" $12.00

So I'm assuming that the Percula Clown are Occelaris from the Ocean? Lol.. I'm so confused.

Go you! Nice to see new folks doing their research :spin:

Look up there on the blue bar above this page and you will see a heading for 'Reef Database' - click the arrow and find the Fish Database..when you get to that page - under 'Fish Type' choose Clownfish and you can see'em all at once ;)

http://www.nano-reef.com/fish/

Seems to have a decent side by side picture.

Occ. seems to have the more vivid orange, and the .. uh True Perc.? lol seems to have the more faded.. softer orange.

However... I assume I'm probably better off just picking up the Tank Raised Occ. from Will?

Going to put the order in tonight.

You really can't go by the shades of the fish, since differnt fish kept under different lighting conditions will look lighter or darker. The usual way to tell them apart is to look at the black margins and count the spines of one of the fins, I can't remember, but if you google, it will come.
