I ve lost 6 of those blue's due to jumping, even when I closed the canopy. Im still very urged to try more but nervous. Id rather not see another fish dye for no reason. To cover my tank with a class top would just mean so much more time for maitenace in cleaning the class , removing the glass to do work in the tank ect
I really feel sorry you!!!

Take a look here for the DIY on the screen top. http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=212941

Looks like what you did Jonny, but since you said he still got out i'm hesitant.

I bought 3/8" mesh and 1/4" mesh to make the cover but I don't know 3/8 is small enough to prevent the fish stuck in the net hole. I am thinking of using 1/4" for sure but it might cut down 50% of my light.

any suggestion

hey oliver, i used 1/4" and he only got out because i broke one of the mesh pieces in between boxes by accident...i never fixed it because it fit my turkey baster for feeding loolol...and it bit me in the ass...so he cannot get thru a single box it would have to be it 2. The chances of him getting that spot was crazy lol.. i redid the mesh and he hasnt got out since.

i believe the 1/16" would cut down too much light on a reef tank.

thanks for the reply. I am working on my acrylic frame and mesh. I will try the 1/4" mesh first.
