Anyone have long term success with these awesome fishes in their system? Mine never live longer then a couple of years. Their shorter life span may be due to the fact by the time they reached the supermale stage, they are fully mature already? And not to mention they probably has out of range normal hormone level at that stage?
Some of the Supermales I kept: (approx. life span in my system)
Rhomboid : 2 years (Single)
Lineatus 1 : 2 Years (Pair)
Lineatus 2 : 3 years (Pair)
Flame : 1 Year (Pair)
Flame : 1 Year (Pair)
Flame : 1 Year (Pair)
Aussie Scotts : 1 Year (Pair)
Aussie Scotts : 1 Year (Pair)
It is kinda sad having them dying @ such a short life. My Angles, and Tangs (hack, even my longnose hawk) live much longer then them... Obviously I had much better luck when getting them at a smaller size and let them pair off and grow.
