catching flame angel

Does anyone have any ideas of how to catch a flame angel?
I currently have a trap set with some mysis shrimp inside. The trap has been there for three days! every other fish has been in there except for him:irked:
I purchased some really nice acans from the swap and since I put them in the same tank as him he has been picking at them. He really doesn't look like hes eating them but they wont open up the way they were in the frag tank.
ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated!

Im using one that looks like a cylinder with the door that goes up and down.
I feed them twice a day once in the afternoon and once at night.

If I starve the angel will I run the risk of him going after the acans even more?

I would put the acans in some sort of holding container until you can get that guy out.

Or if he likes them so much, maybe you can put the acans in the fish trap and see if he bites..

Try the light`s out trick. Do this at night so there is no other light coming into the tank.Get a net ready and feed the fish, when the angel is close enough to the top have someone turn the lights out on the tank it will be stunned for a second then you can scoop it out. Do this w/ the lights out in the room also so it is totaly dark. Good luck....

I would put some rocks in the fish trap, the angel might go to explore/pick at the rocks

what size tank you have what i did was cut a peice of egg crate so i can place it in the middle of the tank. that way when the fish goes to one side of the tank he cant escape to the otherside... only problem would be ur gonan have to remove some of the rock. teh way i aquascaped my tank is so that the majority of the rock is on one side. makes it easied for me when i need to catch a fish. lol. good luck.

You need two things, both available at the supermarket. Get a box of strawberries and use the box to cover the acans then get a metal tea strainer, put a frozen cube of food in the tea strainer in the trap and voila.

I would put some rocks from the sump/fuge, or even the acan in the trap, and see if he goes after them when they are in the trap.
That is how I caught a regal angel, and a flame dwarf, using rocks from my sump in the trap.
