Just have a couple of questions (did a search couldn't find the info).
What's the spec grav of the water?
How often for water changes?
How long is the light period?

I was looking for a theard/article I saw on here regarding someone who had matted to different clown speiecs and had a detailed write up, but I couldn't find it.

Thanks for any help

Are you referring to http://www.manhattanreefs.com/forum...d-couple-percula-onyx-x-ocellaris-darwin.html ?

Assuming you're asking about broodstock tank, and not larvae tank. I keep my tank at 1.020 salinity, 12-14 hour light cycle with 2 hour moonlight. I perform WC as much as time permits, but at least 20% each week, with the use of CloramX or Prime. Due to the overfeeding I do (3-5 times a day), WC is very important. I do have a Remora skimmer running, which I hope is helping some. I just started about 2 months ago, so no results yet. Hoping soon...

Check www.mofib.org for more information.

The guides/books I use are:

Clownfishes by Joyce D. Wilkerson
The Complete Illustrated Breeder's Guide to Marine Aquarium Fishes by Matthew L. Wittenrich

It is best to set up a completely separate tank for the eggs to hatch and the fry to be reared in. Remove the rock and the parents to the other tank, it must have the same parameters as the tank they are coming from.

Once the eggs hatch the parents must be removed otherwise they will eat the fry. Daily water changes are a must as are removal of any dead fry. Filtration is tricky but be sure to cover all intakes with foam so the fry do not get sucked in. The fry will require extremely small food like rotifers and plankton. Keep in mind this method of feeding can get the water extremely dirty so the water changed are extremely important on a daily basis.

This is what I remember from the clown breeding thread here.

They are even better than clutch... the guy who wrote the article is frequently here :)

If you ask specific questions he might even answer them.

sanjay.

Awesome! May I add a question? Would you recommend using blackworms to induce spawning? So far I've been feeding Spirulina, Spectrum Thera-A, Rod's Food and now a DIY recipe. Have a pair of proven Tomato spawners, which last spawn was 2 weeks before I picked them up; that was about 2-3 months ago. Thank you!
