Fish and their friends

Just a question re: fish and their memory. I had a nudi-induced crash on my biocube and had three surviving fish (clown, bangaii cardinal, lawnmower blenny)...They had been in the BC29 for over a year...I had to put them in my pico while I got the parameters and such in check in my BC29. They were there probably a little over a month...My question is what kind of memory to fish have of other fish? I slowly shifted them back into the BC... Today I added the LMB and they are all moving around the tank! It's quite amazing...I had just the clown and cardinal in there for about a week as I was having trouble scooping out the LMB...In the bigger tank, the clown and cardinal would basically just hang from corner to corner...The cardinal FREAKED me out yesterday by flailing in the sand and playing dead while I was cleaning the glass! Just put the LMB in and all of a sudden all of the fish are swimming everywhere. Amazing stuff.
