have you guys ever been slashed by your tangs?

Yes I have. It usually happen very quick, just a flick of their tails and you're cut. The larger one can leave a nice size slice in your hand or finger so you need to be careful when handling one. You also need to be careful as some carry poison in their spines.

I thought only the Hippo Tang carried poison. What other tangs are venomous?

A lot of people say Naso do. I got cut by a large Dussimeri tang and it hurt for a number of months. I'm sure there are others. Don't forget all the the Rabbit/Foxfaces.

I've been sliced by a vlamingi, purple and orange shoulder tank. All were a good size and they all hurt.
