Which Clownfish? Generally speaking they are easy to take care of. Just make sure if you buy two you get two that are different in size. There is plenty of info if you google clownfish pairing

I would actually recommend, IF they are not a matted pair to get them small same size and let nature take its coarse vs trying to force a female to a male, not that it never works its less likely to work .

I think 2 small undecided males is the best route.

I agree with this 100%
I have done this twice and had great success.
It worked with gold stripe maroons and a pair of Oc. Clowns.
In my experience there will be some aggression from the clown that is
going to be the female.
Both sets mated and laid eggs on a regular basis.

Make sure you read up on them before you pic your clowns...

Let the tank cycle completely first before you add any fish. I have used the methods described above for introducing clowns and like yourbed and seaham I like this method better. The only way I would use the larger/smaller method is if I were adding 1 clown to a tank that already had an established clown in it already.

I just got two Juvinial yellow stripes. Is there anything to recommend to facilitate them getting along. Perhaps using a partition for a while. One is chasing the other.
Or should I just let it take its course ?

I am guessing you got 2 gold stripe maroons? Those are quite aggressive. I got them as a pair from GA awhile ago. If only chasing that should be ok for now. But if one is badly beating up the the other then you might have to intervene. How is the smaller one feeding?

Yes, they are Gold Striped Maroons. Never liked Clowns much. Then I went into Aquarium Adventure (just to look, there is a bar in that shopping center that is great, goes back to the beer thread) anyway they have one in there selling for 70.00. I almost bought it. Fish is magnificent. Just got my pair fed-x , got them into the tank around 7 last night. The fighting (killing) has subsided. Did not seem interested in eating last night or this AM. A little concerned about that. What do you think ?

Normally I audition the clowns. If they can juggle or do acrobatics, well that earns them extra points. Balloon animals is a definite must. Are they good with Kids. Do they have a problem with alcohol. Ever been incarcerated?

Oh sorry clownFISH-- never mind.
