My new hippocampus kelloggi!!!

After a long long long wait (almost 4 months) and testing water till i turned mushy, i finally got my babies. 3 juvi kellogs, no names yet bec two of them are identical (duh) but well get there. They love chillin on the yellow finger!! Now i know the males have the pouch, but they are juvis so its hard to tell, any one know any other way with this genus?

How small are they? You can see the pouch pretty easily when they are still pretty small (3-4") long. Post some pics and we can help sex them for you. I'm not sure there is another easy way to tell them apart.

BTW thanks for the info on the Gorgs, they ate some mysis today, they lookin good in the pic!

I agree they look like females. But maybe when they are young they all look like that.

I don't believe males have that "fin" under their belly. Maybe asianer will chime in.

so the males anal fin isnt at the end of his stomach, rather it look like its in the middle (but actually between the stomach and pouch).Where as the female is right underneath her stomach.
