Fish has ick need help

Ok so I came home to find my baby hippo covered with ick, I caught him and put him in my refugium... all my other fish look fine. so much info on ick but not sure what methods to take.. feeding pellets that say they have garlic.. should I put in seperate take and buy chemicals tomorrow and treat that tank?

Best method for a fish who has ick and looks weak.

The garlic you are asking about is made by Kent and it is called 'Garlic Extreme'. It is a liquid that you can soak food in - many reefers soak their mysis shrimp in it. It is useful in that (for whatever reason that I will never understand) fish seem to like the taste of garlic and it enhances their appetites and can keep them eating when they might prefer not to, and it is said to boost their immune systems (though I've never seen a factual study of that info...), but it does help somewhat. It does not cure the ich itself however.
