Too bad fish can't read. When I put in food for carnivors it doesn't stop the others from eating it. And the same for any combination. The only value of the chart is if you have only one type of fish or at least you know how many different ones to use.

No, the value of the chart is to help give some direction to hobbyists that purchase new fish and don't know what to try feeding them to get them acclimated and eating in captivity. If fish move on to eat a wider variety of things all the better, but it is very helpful to know where to start.
