Before I Posted On How To Kill Ich Quick And People Said To Drop Sality To 1.09 And Not Getting Any Results Fast. Fish Just Covered With It And Just Stoped Eating And Getting Weak. Is There Anything Else To Make It Go Away Quicker.

Well My Tank Is Leaking So I Am Thinking About Breaking It Down And Starting From Scratch AND FIX THE LEAK AND ALSO TRY TO Kill The Ich.

And Put FISH In My 220gal Future Reef Tank But Don't Want To Mess That Tank Up. I Heard Its Not Good To Medcate A Tank That Your Going To Make Reef. Is This True?

I Have A Puffer And A Grouper Who Have Ich

There is no miracle cure that is going to get rid of the ich right away, also the white spots you see on the body is the ich working it way out of the fish. It will eventually fall off and the ich cycle will start again. There is ich inside the fish's body and gills, it will eventually work it way out of the fish, usually in about 7 - 10 days.

Take the fish out and dip. Copper in a tank you will not use for corals. The not eating is bad.If you can leave them in there at least 2 weeks. The leaky tank and ich is gotta be alot of fun all at one time.Fish are a pita to deal with at times but we all do it,good luck, now for the quarantine people to start in.But they are correct!!!

any good medicine beside copper?
Unfortunately no, your choices are limited to hyposalinity or copper. One or the other and I wouldn't switch now.
Try daily to see if they will eat something and be certain to have extra air going into the tank where the fish are. Stay 100% on top of the ammonia level - anything above zero is no good.

Do you have anything else you can move them into besides the new 220?

I have used the freshwater dip method in the past with both my yellow tang and clown and they survived but It was touch and go for a few minutes after the dip. I dont know if I would do it again, but it worked. It had me nervous but within 24hrs of the dip they looked and were acting fine. And I haven't had a problem since. Good luck sounds like Murphys law has applied itself to your tank, but things will get better just keep the salinity and light low and the ick should die off.

I had ick my reef IT SUCKS!!!!!!! I ended up taking all the coral and 120lbs of rock out of my display tank just to catch the fish. Then setup a QT tank for the fish. Treated the QT with copper and garlic. Kept the display tank empty for 3 month. After 3 months i put the heathy fish back in the display and quarantined some new fish for a month. Put the new fish in the system and 2 months later got ick again. I almost want to do a coral only tank now.

I have very different experience...On the very rare occasion that any ick shows up in my 120-gallon reef, it disappears within days without any treatment. But, in my 110-gallon FOWLR, I've had repeated bouts with ick and it's wiped out some really beautiful fish to the point where I've been very discouraged. I hadn't been quarantining new additions and from hereon in, I will. I've searched and searched for the reason why there are repeated bouts of the ick in the FO when it doesn't happen in my reef. It's been hard to determine.

As KathyC said, since you started the hypo treatment you should stick with that method. Hypo treatments work over the matter of weeks not days. I ran a hypo treatment on a purple tang for 5-6 weeks coupled with bi-weekly water changes to remove as much free floating ich and cysts as possible.

I still have my purple tang and he has repaid his holistic medical treatment by killing four other fish. Go figure.

Your Fish are gonna hide so place the black sheet on the tank. I would use a little of melafix marine. Mash fresh garlic in there food but mash quickly dip food quick and in the tank. Garlic fresh is better. You have to stay in hypo if you need to know what stage the ich is at do not go out of hypo you will see results. I would not do copper some people i know have used cupramine and have had good results and some that had a fish drop 2 days later with just trace amounts of copper in the tank
