Sexing Tangs

Anyone have any idea on how to sex a tang?A Sohal for example.

First of all why are you trying to sex up a tang,,lol.. Just kidding.. You left yourself open for that one.. I have seen slight color variasions in some and noticed some colors of powder browns get along better than others, but not sure about the sex of either..

Buy it dinner, and get it drunk! :tongue1: Sorry. Could'nt resist. I've read up about it, and it's pretty tough, if not near impossible on most Tangs.

Tangs are schooling fish, they rarely pair up.Certain tangs like Unicorn tangs the males have streamers the females dont.

Sohal tangs are loners in the wild and most certainly will not pair up in a home aquarium they are a one per tank fish, very rarely will you see more than one in a tank bc they do not school and usually fight until the other is no longer present in their reef AKA dead

I would not dare to put another tang of any kind in there with that big boy in there.One is fine for now,less waste.
