I added a large (around 5 inch) Copperband Bfly that I picked up form my LFS about 5 days ago. The first few days he was deathly afraid of my and would dissappear in LR if there was any chance I was there. He picked at bloodworms and mysis and looked like he would only eat about 3 pieces of each before he decided he didn't want anymore. He would go crazy though for the giant bristleworms that would come out to eat the food. I picked up some blackworms from an lfs today and he is eating it like crazy. However many i put in the tank he finishes them all. Are blackworms nutritious enough to sustain a CBB? also even though he eats pretty nicely he scratches on the rocks every now and then. I know this can't be good but i dont have a qt. He also doesn't seem to have any marks on him that indicate an infection. Any suggestions on what i should do

hes eating which is what i am really happy about. He is very very fat right now eating only blackworms. The only thing im a little worried about is the scratching. I can see on his body that it looks like he is abrased a little from something like scratching. I think I might be fighting some kind of bacterial infection but hopefully stuffing him with the blackworms and just letting him acclimate will be enough for him to pull through. Does using something like selcon or vita-chem help combat a bacterial infection i was thinking it might be a good idea

I had a coperband (got from nyaquatic) for more than 2 years and I passed that to my friend when I was switching to a new tank. My fish used to eat frozen mysis. Just soak the food in garlic and feed. Good luck.

it looks like whatever he has may have gotten worse. He now has multiple dark splotches on both of his sides. I can clearly see that he scratches on rocks. He still eats the blackworms like crazy. I dont have a qt tank. Is there such a thing as a product for bacterial infections that is reef safe. Does pimafix and melafix work?

I got a copperband a few weeks ago. I have been looking for one eating frozen for a long time. Long story short i had him for a week and a half, he was eating like a pig adn when i came home the next day he was dead. No markings, no bloated or inverted stomach, nothing...I dont know how, but i know they are delicate so i knew what i weas geting in to.

PE Mysis

I've had one for 2 years after 1 week of trying different foods I gave PE Mysis its the only thing he will eat and he is doing fine. I get it from Premium Aquatics I buy 10 at a time in 8 oz flats with shipping and box it cost me around 100.00 dollars and I'm good for a year. That's about half the price from local fish stores
