i would like to know first hand experience with these guys, because ive read online and everything always say angels "may" be reef safe. Well i bought one of these and he is staying in my tank.....he is my main fish. i got him as a juve thinking i can train him to only eat my food and not my coral. well, that only lasted a month. i had to get rid of my candy canes and my brain. he doesnt seem to touch any of my softies or zoas. has anyone ever had an imperator and had him eat their acans?? i would love to add some of these to my tank..but dont want to lose that much money in coral! thanks. btw...i have a 150 gallon long tank with plenty of room.

I would bet on him nipping at certain colors of acans like my goldflake did. Also adding anything new will most likely raise the interest your angel nothing is 100%, you have gone this far why not go for it see what happens

I have the same fish in the same size tank with no problems however it's an sps and clam tank only. Chances are if he touched the lps before he'll do it again. I'll never have a tank without a large angel so I set up a smaller anemone/lps tank.
