New Potter's Angel Wont Eat

I brought home a 3" potter's angel on sunday night, and he has eaten very little since being acclimated. I am worried, because this is my first attempt at keeping the species, and i was hoping for some advice.

Since sunday, he has hid mostly in a cave, only venturing out when he thinks I am not in the room. other tankmates are a 1.25" Diadema Pseudocromis, a 1" tomato clown and a 2" Lemon butterfly. The potter's is the largest in the tank, and has not been chased or bothered at all. It is a 90 gallon tank.

So far, i have tried:

Marine Pellets
Marine Flakes
Frozen Formula 1
Frozen Brine Shrimp
Frozen Mysis Shrimp
Chopped Cocktail Shrimp
Dried Seaweed.

Since Sunday, i have seen him pick at some hair algae growing on a rock, but only breifly, and he has eaten 1mysis shrimp. just one. He came from House of Fins in Greenwich, which I know keeps some quality livestock, and I have yet to see any signs of bacterial/parasitic infections.

Any suggestions would be really help. thanks...

have you tried soaking your food in garlic?

I would try feeding it whatever House of Fins fed it.

The rep told me Mysis, but I will call to see if that is accurate. I was also told that he had been in the store for 3+ weeks, which i can only assume is true. It really is a spectacular looking potter's. Bright, bright orange and deepblues and purples. (and it should be for the arm and leg that HOF charges for it)

I would just give the fish a little more time to adjust ... this fish IS known to be a picky eater ...

You might have a problem keeping 2 small angels together.

Try opening a fresh clam or mussels near where he's hiding. That usually get's them going.

I don't know if I would use the clam method if you plan on keeping a clam or have one in the tank. It might acquire the taste, imo.

NO angels are 100% safe with clams. My Emporer could care less. My Coral beauty would destroy them. Fresh shellfish is still the best way to get a finicky angel started.

Kris - I have only one dwarf angel in the tank

Greggnyce -I down currently, nor do I plan on keeping clams, so I may try this approach tonight.

anyone else have any thoughts on this method?

I just got home from work, and it seems as if the angel has what looks like cottonmouth. Inside its mouth it looks like a strange white film. I have heard of this is freshwater fish, but I havent in marine fish. does anyone have any experience with this??

just so you knoow potters are one of the harder dwarf angels and are very picky eater's, might also try angel food best of luck, just so ya know them having it 3 weeks doesnt really matter, fish can go weeks without eating and live but will soon starve out, stomach sucked in any ?
